(1,115 posts)A comparison with the GOP and the Mafia is repeated.
Is the GOP the Mafia now?
The comparison is about the GOP not doing anything in offense to Trump.

(7,814 posts)but once they see he's vulnerable they will turn tail. They knew all about his crime family, cheating, lying, etc....but had hoped he would 'win' again, getting over on DOJ and the american people once more. They helped him try.
But not only is he vulnerable, he's a horrible person, horrible president, and a very limited human being. It's not like the GOP officials and leaders don't see what we see...they are horrified too but such is their lack of character that they have wanted to either cash in or vent their own anger or finally destroy safety nets by riding the wave.
They won't stick with him. Some may turn him in...some may have to admit to complicity in order to get on the right side of this. But they know there's a choice...either they can be part of the solution now or after November they can let the democrats do this without the gop and get all the credit. (though I still think there's a master plan somewhere that involves resignation or impeachment)
