Had nothing to do with Russian collusion? Manafort reportedly a key conduit to the Russians and their allies - we and others reported on it extensively - and when investigators started looking into him they found what court determed to be financial crimes.

The one about which he drafted an obstructive false statement for his Jr to lie with.

It was that important.

2. Manafort has another trial next month

Unsurprisingly, Manafort's August convictions didn't "prove" collusion, mostly because that's not what the charges against him were about. Next month's trial promises to fill in some of connections between Manafort's illegal activities charged in the August trial and collusion with the Russians.

So, when President Trump disingenuously squawks about "no collusion, where's the collusion" I hope that NBC and the other media outlets remind their audiences that these dots are due to be connected soon. You don't have to give Trump's self-serving blather any credence.
