they voted for someone like Trump and I'm sure they do care about America. However, their version of America is not one I can accept. I just hope more people think like I do than those that don't. I worry that our political system has been changed forever with the election of Trump. A us versus them mentality. When Trump said he could literally shoot someone at Times Square and still get elected he seems to have been correct. The party of "Family Values" is willing to do anything to maintain control and I mean anything. Beware!

Texas or America. As a rural Texan I have a very hard time finding any of my neighbors that think this way but hopefully things will change at some point. Texas has been is a right-wing spiral since '94.

That few have heeded.

When a reporter asks a legitimate, but complex, policy question, or if a pundit asks a potential 'gotcha' question, give a short answer: "Yes" or "No." And follow that immediately with: "Now, let me tell you why."

Too often, politicians from both parties attempt to worm out of a difficult, complex, or deliberately misleading question by rambling farther and farther away from the question, getting more and more mixed up and incoherent, until nothing can be made of the answer by anyone. This leads to charges of "What is he/she hiding?"

Give a quick, clear, and definitive answer. Then offer the explanation.
