(182,811 posts)I mean, it's a steak -right?
Kobe beef?
But then $462for a night in a steak house is one thing but, as you all noted above, $3K at a fast food place is out of this world.

(17,984 posts)A lot of airlines do not permit rabbits on board. United does, so I looked up the restrictions and costs associated with flying rabbits.
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/travel/animals/in-cabin.html
So $250 for a round trip flight. I don't believe it was "seat" as the documentation shows. I think it was a service charge.
jberryhill
(62,444 posts)If they didnt want to sacrifice legroom, then they would buy another ticket just to have the empty seat to put the rabbit in front of.

(15,543 posts)republicans never miss an opportunity to piss on our military, our veterans, our POWs, or our Gold Star Familes. republicans can shove their unpatriotic disdain up the butt of their ignoble republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, and stop demeaning our men and women in uniform.

Duncan Hunter spent campaign funds for rabbit air travel, says 'victimized' by Ethics Office
Hunters staff told the Press-Enterprise newspaper that the House Office of Congressional Ethics questioned the pet expenses offered as an example of over-reach by the agency.
...
Hunter, R-Alpine, has reimbursed his campaign about $62,000 in campaign expenses that were personal in nature or lacked proper documentation, including oral surgery, a garage door, video games, resort stays and a jewelry purchase in Italy.
...
This was nothing more than an oversight. In fact, its such an obvious example of a mistake being made but (the office) wants to view it through a lens of possible intent. The same goes for many other expenditures, Kasper said. Many of Rep. Hunters repayments had to do with mistakes under specific circumstances, and in other cases there were bona fide campaign activities connected to expenditures that (the office) was not aware of and didnt account for.

$62,000 of mistakes? Yeah, sure. It's the Republican Way - try to rip people off, and if you get found out, use "I am so incompetent that I cannot make expenses claims without inserting completely inappropriate personal expenditure".
Via Talking Points Memo. Who note that Hunter, of course, voted to abolish the independence of the ethics office.

(959 posts)were livin the life.....eating out two and three meals a day, buying anything and everything their hearts desired, vacationing world wide three and four times a year, flying off here, flying relatives off there. The compilation of their spending is just nauseating. And they didn't pay their house payments, they didn't pay utilities, they mooched money from parents, all in all just horrible people. I can't wait to see them go down hard.

(2,678 posts)every July. Why drive that distance? Because we cant afford to fly. Apparently these two grifters couldnt afford it either. But did that stop their outrageous behavior? Nope! Maybe, just maybe, they thought 45s DOJ would have their backs? Seems to me they did this without a care in the world. 🤪🤡

(959 posts)and a lot of their lies about the funds were that this and that was something for a veteran's charity, or a contribution for a veterans event. That's the worst.. Horrible guy.
