Why Trump has to pardon Manafort?

Manafort knows where Trump's fortune is and where it came from. And that is information that cannot be made public.

Above all else, including his family, he worships his wealth. He cannot bear the thought of ever losing it. Manafort is a threat to his fortune.

If I were a betting man, I would bet on a pardon for Paul Manafort.

Also, the odds are looking much better for the dismissal of AG Jeff Sessions.

I'd say you missed a step. They are more worried about Vlad and the Ukrainians than they are about our law enforcement. Manafort especially, he's up to his surgically altered eyeballs in debt. We know that from the trial. Most of it to the people he made a fortune dealing with at least over the last 15-20 years.

Let me add this, why was he the campaign chair to begin with? He's a lobbyist and fundraiser - I know Trump didn't really fund as much of his campaign as he claims but they didn't need the normal levels of fundraising. Who suggested Manafort? We keep hearing that "someone suggested him" but the equation is never completed (that's a standard in our media these days).

Trump eats fast food because he's worried about being poisoned. That was stated by the campaign. Yes only someone like Trump, as a private citizen, thinks he's soooo important (and self grandiose) that someone is out to get him. Who in this day age age poisons people? Oh....that's who.

Manafort can scratch up the bread he needs to make it right with his "creditors". He has important connections.

7. Before he became republican draft-dodger-in-chief, he* cheated a lot of people

and lied to a lot of people, and insulted a lot of people. Not everyone appreciates this kind of shit, even if it is coming from the republican family-values role model. So undoubtedly he had lots of enemies even before the republicans teamed up with the russians to TREASONOUSLY betray America and piss all over American democracy to cheat and thereby install the illegitimate KGOP republican regime.

I posted last night about the game, "52-card pick-up", where the entire deck is shuffled into the air, the way Trump and his collaborators shuffle facts into the air.

Manafort. And they mention his experience with floor fights they expected at the convention. Also, hard to believe trump didn't know about Manfort ties to Russia and Ukraine....but on the other hand trump vetting process at the time incredibly inept and understaffed.

3. That would benefit Manafort, but it sure wouldn't benefit Trump.

Unless Manafort skipped the country on a Russian jet, he'd be a star witness for the prosecution in the cases against all Trumps.

Which may be its own crime, but I doubt he'd report some money laundered accounts in Cyprus via Russia. There's a lot buried in over-paid real estate sales too.

I'm sure Trump has probably followed his example.

More since it's about money laundering. Hoping Mueller has found some trump ( or should I say candidate x) connection in there. If there is then he'd be wise to pardon manafort ASAP. Or would the trial go forward anyway?

17. No. The trial would immediately cease if he were to get a pardon.

The money laundering is what Trump does not want to be discovered.

12. New York State will prosecute Manafort, no doubt as the crimes he got charge with almost all

have state equivalent charges.

Manforts choice is where would rather spend the rest of life, Federal prison or a New York State prison in general population
