That were declared mistrial in manafort...sounds like they might not have presented enough proper evidence...or at least did not show how to determine guilt? Many related to bank fraud which is fairly black and white. Intent harder. You lied on app or you didn't. I don't know...not a lawyer...but have worked for banks

Thought he was aiming for mistrial and not acquittal. But, if rigged why would that one juror not have voted innocent on all?

the other 11 knew fairly early on (after reviewing evidence) that they agreed on "guilty" for all 18 verdicts. They tried hard to persuade the holdout but she felt there was still "reasonable doubt." Surely you have known similarly stubborn people in your life. At least she went with them on the other 8 counts.

The juror also described things that suggested the judge's comments and actions in some cases may have influenced the jury (as many here said) but she didn't outright say that. She had impressions about Gates and the prosecutors that may be helpful for their next trial.

It is hard to see a trail from the jury's perspective if you weren't there every day seeing and hearing what they did. I suppose the odds are there could be at least one who saw things differently. I was just surprised it was only one person on the ten counts.

Plus Carter Page still hangs out there (unless he was a plant). Cohen's potential cooperation with Mueller is still to come.

And now that they have Maria Butina, the whole NRA money-laundering scheme that funneled Russian $ into the various GOP PACs & the RNC during the election cycle, may come into play.

Still a whole lot to do before hitting the closest targets.

Leave no stone unturned. Otherwise we will be playing whack-a-mole for years with the players who were not held accountable. We've seen this play out before as we're told we are "moving forward". All the people from the Bush years are still out there and are rewarded with television contracts, speaking fees, book deals, lobbyist jobs, and some even go back into government as if nothing happened.

If there are no consequences for unethical or corrupt behavior, there are no incentives to not repeat the same mistakes down the road. Just imagine if this current circus of clowns kept bouncing back. Anyone who takes that solemn oath to preserve, protect, and defend the constitution must be held to the highest standards and suffer the harshest consequences if they fail to do so. Otherwise, this is all for naught.

Trump is a helluva poker player.

He got Mueller to play his best hands - in the middle of the dog days of August where nobody is paying attention.

Trump absorbs the Manafort and Cohen blows, lets the media and celebrities have their fun for now.

I predict after Labor Day, Thor's Hammer is going to drop.

"He got Mueller to play his best hands"

Au contraire... He's playing the best of "Sun Tzu" greatest hits... tRump is all kinds of worried about the "collusion" when I believe it's the campaign money/tRump foundation misuse of funds that's gonna sink him..
In the Art of War by Sun Tzu he states "You can be sure of succeeding in your attacks if you only attack places which are undefended. You can ensure the safety of your defense if you only hold positions that cannot be attacked.".... So far Mueller has not tipped his hand much about the "collusion" that tRump is always attacking. The payoffs to the ladies will constitute illegal contributions and also the tax evasion (NYC, not fed) I think will sink him and his cabal...
YMMV,

Minor players but important to the investigation... tRumps family are the knights/rooks and
Bishops... Knock them off and the king would go nuts and will fall.
Family is very important to him. Can you imagine what he will do if Don Jr/Ivanka and the other one got indicted and sentenced??? He would totally flip out..

Got me wondering.

Why are there no family members on an actual chess board? Serious question...I don’t know.

No princes or princesses, just the queen. She’s there for her power, I guess.

I still think Cohen and Manafort are more than pawns, like Papadopawhatever, and some of the others.

Cohen raid was a huge score for Mueller. That damn guy was bound and determined to monetize his relationship, and had his filthy paws in everybody’s pocket. He is gonna end up implicating a LOT of treasonweasels.

No (IMHO). Those 2 are still pawns. There are certain folks (some obviously family) who are much closer, including those whose names rarely get mentioned in the media like Rhona Graff or Keith Schiller. I.e., folks who knew where all the bodies were buried before Cohen and Manafort came on the scene (notably during the pre-election Russian connections/money-laundering era).

He started by cracking the shell. worked his way into the white and scrambled them up a bit. My guess is that he will poke around the traitor tot's (the kid's) associates to remove their layer of protection. Then he will move on the kids.

Will the kids rat each other out, fall on the proverbial sword or spill all about Dad? The order Mueller questions them may be very telling. Will he start with the most to lose; the most corrupt or the one most likely to talk?

Then he will expose trump.

From the thread title, I thought this was another fanciful “when will Mueller remove Trump from office,” which can’t and won’t happen.
But actions against Don Jr would likely cause Trump to cut his losses and do the “resigning for the good of my family” bullshit, take his Pence pardon, and get the fuck out of our White House.
