There were about 13500 homicides in the US in 2015
About 45% were determined to involve one victim and one offender. About another 30% involved one victim but an unknown number of offenders. So it's reasonable to guess that most homicides involve a single victim and a single offender.

For homicides in 2015 involving a single victim and a single offender, the gender of the victim was reported in about 6000 cases and the gender of the offender in about the same number of cases. Of those cases with reported victim gender, about 72% of the victims were male and about 28% of the victims were female. Of those cases with reported offender gender, about 91% of the offenders were male and about 9% of the offenders were female.
There were about 6000 homicides in 2015 involving a single victim and a single offender, with the genders of both victim and offender reported. Of these:
about 64% involved males killing males;
about 26% involved males killing females;
about 7% involved females killing males; and
about 3% involved females killing females
The evidence suggests most homicides are committed by males -- usually by males against males, followed by homicides are committed by males against females

Of approximately 13500 homicides in 2015, the circumstances were specified for about 8100. Of these victims, about 68% were killed by their spouse, child, parent, sibling, sweetheart, or other family member, or by a friend or other acquaintance: about 5% by a friend, about 29% by a family member or romantic partner and about 34% by another acquaintance
About 25% of the victims were killed during the commission of another felony: about 3% of these felonies were committed by a friend, about 10% by a family member or romantic partner, and about 26% by another acquaintance, with the rest committed by a person not known to the victim (this being about 15% of all homicides with circumstances specified)
Approximately 4300 homicides in 2015, for which the circumstances were specified, did not occur during the commission of another felony: the most common circumstance was argument, accounting for about 73% of the homicides; and for this circumstance, there were about 3100 homicides. Of these 3100 argument homicides, about a third involved arguments between mere acquaintances; another 9% involved the killing of a girlfriend and about 8% the murder of a wife

There were about 13500 homicides in the US in 2015 for which the murder weapon was determined: for 71%, the weapon was a firearm

To solve America's homicide problem by deportation, perhaps we could begin by deporting all the males who own guns and have either wives or girlfriends; next we could deport the remaining males who own guns; and finally we could deport the rest of the males. If we didn't have any males in this country, most homicides wouldn't occur!
