We Americans all love this holiday and celebrate it often!
It's the day when we pause in gratitude to remember all the people who selfllessly allowed themselves to be shot down at schools and concerts and malls and clubs to protect the constitutional right of disturbed people to stockpile weapons and ammunition before going off the bend around that deep end
It's a day when we proudly display our patriotism and neighborly concern by sharing our thoughts and prayers on Twitter or Facebook
The Fourth of July comes only once a year, and everyone enjoys the sound of the firecrackers
But Second Amendment Martyrs Day is a moveable feast that lets us enjoy the pop-pop-pop sound on almost any day
And it's good for the economy!
Young and old alike, our Second Amendment martyrs help pump billions into our healthcare and funeral industries
Nuts with guns contribute to everyone's prosperity!

(14,494 posts)Let's get a bill passed that requires a National Holiday each time one of these Martyrs Days occurs. That might change some things real fast.

(4,292 posts)I'm as saddened and agreeable about this incident as the rest of y'all.
Looking at the primary election ballot -- which comes to a vote on Tuesday -- there are very few candidates who publicly say there are actively against the policies of the NRA. This, just a few short months after the Parkland shooting, and -- more recently -- the incident at a local high school football game, which the law enforcement authorities are labeling as "gang related." How convenient!
So tired of this shit.
I have family in Europe and Asia. Apart from suffering serious financial losses, what's stopping me from becoming an ex-pat?!?
