McCain question

Does anyone know the backstory as to why McCain is choosing to be buried near a friend and not with his wife or other family?
Just curious, not implying anything.

Personally, I find the concept of burying people weird but to each their own I guess.

Still strange to me to be buried with a friend, I don’t have friends I would want to be buried next to but again, to each their own 😊

there is nothing strange if you understand the mind of a soldier... the bonds formed between those that have served together, especially in times of conflict, can go beyond the bond formed in a marriage...

to meet again. It provides for continuity through stories shared between the families.
