First guy to walk out on Sasha Cohen and his garbage...

None other than Barney Frank.

Right-wingers keep getting suckered, Barney Frank calls it like it is and walks out.

‘That is deluded’: Watch Barney Frank walk out on Sacha Baron Cohen trying to verify PizzaGate with kids eat free receipt

Former Rep. Barney Frank (D-NJ) was the latest to get the Sacha Baron Cohen treatment during a contentious interview about right-wing conspiracy theories.

Cohen’s right-wing character Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr. began by challenging Frank that President Donald Trump is the greatest president of all time. Frank argued that Trump hasn’t been all that successful in changing laws because they kept getting challenged in court and struck down.

(snip)

The discussion devolved and eventually Frank simply walked out.

And look at what she was asked WHEN she decided to walk out; she was asked about Chelsea Clinton getting a government funded sex change operation.
Cohen is a disgusting character who should've stuck to basic comedy.

It has worked many times.

Jason Spencer (OMFG!)
The Rednecks of kingman, AZ
Joe Arpaio
The whole Kinder-Guardian thing was amazing - jaw dropping.
Dick Cheney autographing his water boarding kit (OMFG!)

We all know wing nuts are crazy - but when he gets them comfortable enough to say what they usually keep hidden from public view - a work of art - with much hilarity.

When he finagled his way onto a local morning newscast for Borat, the producer who agreed to his appearance was fired. She did nothing wrong. So far as I know, Cohen never even apologized.

Satire crosses the line when it causes collateral damage.

Since I don't want to risk a hide, all I'll say is DU has always skewed toward certain demographics and given the age and format of the site I think it's getting worse.

In some ways it's getting better and in other quarters it's getting worse.

I miss kudzu, fried chicken, and The Olive Garden(discussions in the Lounge that were very funny and went on for months).

It may well be that a lot of the 'old timers' are gone along with the fact that the times feel so perilous that some of the humour that used to pervade this place is damped down.

And I've been here since 2001.

Much of what is called "political humor" nowadays is simply nothing but name-calling, smears, and vicious innuendoes.

When I think of good political humor I don't think of Cohen and his crass cheap shots.
I think of Mark Russell.
George Carlin.

cohen will go on and on with increasingly outrageous comments and questions until the interviewee finally catches on and ends it, unless it's obvious that will never happen, in which case cohen goes for the gold, like getting that one guy to "attack" him with his butt

but there was a republican on briefly, who cohen asked to endorse a plan to arm toddlers, and the republican said, no, that's not how it works, i'm not going to just hear a plan for the first time and immediately endorse it on television. he didn't "walk out", but he made it clear enough to cohen that he wasn't a sucker.
