As soon as the Gov of Arizona appoints a replacement my bet is that Trump will be on the warpath for a vote. I don't think McConnell will allow it and probably the new appointee will refuse to reverse McCain's "no" vote, but Trump will try to fire up his "base". He is so disgusting.

(24,414 posts)but McConnell would probably nix the idea as he is focused on Judges and that repeal effort damaged them heavily. Doubt that they would want to make another try right before the midterms. Wouldn't put it past them but not sure they're up for it.

(9,874 posts)He needs something to fire up his base to get out and vote and I can't think of a better motivating factor for them. Whether he gets a vote or not doesn't matter as long as he demands it.
