Flag full staff at my local Post Office.......

I was there this morning to send a package to Colorado. I mentioned to the people there that the Flag should be at half staffed.

They asked "What happened?"

"US Senator John McCain died on Saturday. He was also a POW for 5 1/2 years. He deserves respect."

I hope the Post Office will comply.

hasn't been an order -- and in Minnesota, it appears there hasn't at this point -- then the USPS should follow code.

And it's never been an issue before because the president always ordered it when appropriate. The postmater probably isn't sure if they can do it or not under current circumstances.

I finally wrote to my State's office of administration to see if they or the governor plan to issue a directive to lower flags.
