Trump's Coalition
Trump is not the President of the United States. He is the President for a select coalition of groups that support him and his un-American policies.
He puts them on his calendar so he can remember to nourish their primitive needs, because he believes he has the winning coalition of voters to keep him in power.
One week he might be inviting Harley Davidson riders to the White House and the next week, he might be standing in front of a group of coal miners, pretending to shovel coal.
The next week, he might have on his calendar a meeting with the evangelicals, because he knows that is a very valuable part of his coalition. Then, it's time to talk to the 2nd Amendment crowd at the NRA.
In the interim, he has his Nuremburg-style rallies thru out the Midwest. One week it might be Ohio and the next week, it may be Michigan. Then he goes to visit his blue collar supporters in PA and Wisconsin. Today, he is in Indiana. The crowds love him. They bellow with roars of approval when he strides across the stage with his jutting jaw, reminiscent of Benito Mussolino. He is with his crowd. To hell with the rest of America. You can go to hell, as far as he is concerned.
