I'm seeing several ads on Kavanaugh. Maybe ads were on and I ignored them, but I sure can't remember any. These Kavanaugh ads are on several times/day in the few hours I have the TV on.

(58,724 posts)A prominent abortion rights group launched a television ad yesterday that accuses Supreme Court nominee John G. Roberts Jr. of siding with violent extremists and a convicted clinic bomber while serving in the solicitor general's office, an accusation that Roberts's supporters immediately condemned as a flagrant distortion.
The ad, sponsored by NARAL Pro-Choice America, focuses on Roberts's role in a case involving whether a 19th-century anti-Ku Klux Klan statute could be used to shut down blockades of health clinics by abortion protesters. The solicitor general's office filed a friend-of-the-court brief siding with the clinic protesters, including Operation Rescue. The high court ruled 6 to 3 against the health clinics in January 1993.

(58,724 posts)There were these as well:
Justice Sonia Sotomayor's decision last month to oppose broader individual gun rights under the 2nd Amendment is being cited by the National Rifle Assn. as reason for senators to oppose Elena Kagan, President Obama's second nominee to the Supreme Court.
The NRA released an anti-Kagan ad this week that shows Sotomayor seemingly assuring senators during her confirmation hearing last year that she supports individual gun rights. Citing her vote in June to uphold a handgun ban in Chicago, the ad urges members to call their senators and "tell them not to fall for the same trick twice."

(16,254 posts)Now that you mention the NRA, I do recall some of those. NRA ads would definitely be in the category I would ignore whether they were for or against any legislation for guns. I gave up on the NRA a long time ago. It is a relief they are basically hiding after all the bad publicity and Russian connections being exposed.

I hate that ad with a passion. It speaks to the worst stereotypes the RW tries to promote about the "superficiality of women"... She really shouldn't worry her pretty little head, after all.

(16,254 posts)No doubt, she is an actress from some agency. I have to admit, they do a pretty good job of selecting actors for their ads. If you are naïve, they'll get ya. I find many Republican women follow their husband's opinions or choice for office. Think for yourself, lady. Grrr!

This is intentional.
Intimating that women want Roe vs Wade overturned.

(16,254 posts)What bothers me about Kavanaugh is why the Republicans won't release any of the documents the Democrats have requested. What's he hiding?
