If you believe Trump truly represents America then you've swallowed the Big Lie

If you think it’s necessary to get in the gutter and trade hate with Americans who are under his spell then you’ve swallowed the Big Lie. If you’ve given up hope that the egomaniac and his fellow crooks will be held accountable for purposefully acting to dismantle America, then you’ve swallowed the Big Lie.

America is as she’s always been, a mix of diversity struggling to find a way forward together that somehow includes everyone. It’s not easy and at times it’s been very messy but the ideal of a more perfect union continues in the hearts and minds of most Americans.

So it’s up to us - the majority - to keep moving forward, refusing to believe that the whims of a madman, in cahoots with both foreign and domestic adversaries, have permanently changed who we are.

We will prevail, America will prevail. So long as we don’t swallow the Big Lie.

Yeah, we work harder and better together than any other country, and are by and large are caring and respectful to one another.

But, for the 4 decades we have increasingly, and relentlessly, indulged hard right wing politics.

Take 45 away, and we will still republicans in control of congress, and significantly more state governments.

We let them pass tax cuts that benefit the super rich more than the average america, and blow deficts into our budgets, and buy their bullshit that is reason to cut our safety nets - we indulge their lunacy on global warming, and countless other things.

LONG before 45 came down the escalator, we allowed them to wholesale make up things to negatively frame liberals, progressives, demorcrats ... We allowed them to promote hate and division at the LGBT community, POC, muslims ...
