Vice President Pence expected to visit Vermont today

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont is expected to have a visit from the vice president of the United States today.

Multiple sources have confirmed to WCAX News that Mike Pence will be arriving in the state this afternoon, following his attendance of the services for Sen. John McCain at the Capitol in Washington.

We have not had any official confirmation of the visit, but sources in and outside the government have indicated the vice president will fly into the Burlington airport. Other sources have indicated Pence will head to the Hubbardton area during his visit.

The Boston office of the U.S. Secret Service confirmed that Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Vermont today. The Secret Service would not give any details of the vice president's visit, including when he would be arriving in the state or the purpose of his visit.

Meghan McCain didn't look any too happy when Pence twice intoned tRump's name. You could see the death stare and the scorn on her face when Pence interjected tRump into her father's service. tRump was unwanted there in ANY form - even the mere mention of him was too much for Meghan.

I'd bet his mention of tRump was quite deliberate, and found it disrespectful and offensive. It's better that Pence just disappears for the weekend.
