That the wasteland comment came from an expert on NAFTA that I follow on Twitter. That is what first alerted to me this. He said something like Hamilton to Sudbury would be economic wasteland or something like that. Canada should seize the moment and take advantage of trade barriers Trump is putting in place against other nations, tariffs Trump is putting on specific imports, and the souring relationship due to Trump's bully-boy tactics. Canada should sell itself as a more attractive trading partner.
