Russia: Lets collude with you and commit treason! You rock!
Canada: Youre disgusting slime that I will destroy!
So glad the cretin doing this has 36% approval and is loathed but still!
I weep:😂😂😂😂😂

(6,110 posts)I am hoping for zero tariffs on all trade between Canada & USA. That will boost both countries.
25% tariff on Canadian cars is crazy and 275% tarriff on American dairy products by Canada is obscene.

(86,612 posts)Canada will survive this as will we, the headline to your post is pretty out there sensationalism. It won't be pretty but he won't be bringing it to its knees.

(1,835 posts)Large swaths of Canada's largest province, Ontario, will turn into economic wasteland.
Also he specifically said he wants the most "insulting" deal possible since Canada dared to utter a minor disagreement with Dear Leader. Outrageous.

(1,835 posts)64 cent dollar and 160,000 jobs lost. CBC is Canada's version of the BBC, if you were not aware of it.
Effectively, that would be a repeat of the pain the sector and the province experienced during the downturn of 2008. "Such a shock would be enough to erase all of the gains in employment that Ontario experienced over the last two years," DePratto says.Effectively, that would be a repeat of the pain the sector and the province experienced during the downturn of 2008. (1,835 posts)That the wasteland comment came from an expert on NAFTA that I follow on Twitter. That is what first alerted to me this. He said something like Hamilton to Sudbury would be economic wasteland or something like that. He may have been engaging in hyperbole but the TD bank assessment that the CBC references is grim indeed.
Putin could not have planned it better with Dotard to destroy the Western Alliance.
Trusting the voters in November to derail this totally out-of-control Satanic Russian-Dotard alliance.

(86,612 posts)is hyperbole but I wasn't sure it would be as awful as some would have you think. Thanks for the CBC article, I know about them, just haven't dialed in on them in a while.

Also see my first post OP link where he talks about Canada in appalling terms and the CBC link I posted a few posts above about 160,000 jobs lost and a 64 cent Canadian dollar that is the first link in this reply to you. Truly appalling.

(9,091 posts)Canada should seize the moment and take advantage of trade barriers Trump is putting in place against other nations, tariffs Trump is putting on specific imports, and the souring relationship due to Trump's bully-boy tactics. Canada should sell itself as a more attractive trading partner.

(36,745 posts)Seriously, just ignore the tariffs. What is Dump going to do? Nothing.
Nullification of federal law can and should be done in this case.
