Have You Noticed This Deflection Technique Too?

I've started to notice that everytime one of us slams Rmoney for his business practices or for not releasing his tax records or for whining about being attacked or whatever, the response from the right-wing mouth-breathers ALWAYS goes something like this:

"Well why won't Obama release his real birth certificate, or his college records, or Michelle's senior thesis, or pictures of his saggy balls, or whatever random thing we want to use to deflect attention away from the fact that our right-wing hero is a scumbag?"

They can never defend Rmoney from the attacks. All they have is some mealy-mouthed complaint about Obama not releasing his college records, which they insist EVERY Presidential candidate has ALWAYS done since the beginning of time (even though, surprise surprise, it's not even remotely true).

It happens with such regularity that I'm beginning to think that this is the standardized, released, official response sent down from on high to all the right-wing minions to go on the interwebz and spew forth ad nauseum. "Change the dialogue!!!" it says. "Divert their attention away from attacking Saint Mitt and toward defending Obama!!!" "They fall for it every time!!!"

Case in point, one of my Facebook friends attacked Mitt for his weepy plea to Mommy to make mean ol' Barack play nice and not mention his unreleased tax returns, and here were some of the responses he got:

1. "Must be hiding something... Like Obama and Holder with Fast and Furious..."

2. "Ah, but he has not released his school records which every president has, his proof of graduation from various schools, how he was able to win elections through black mail in Illinois, what happened to Michelle's license and many, many other things. We have never known so little about a president's past, and the liberal media has not and will not vet him. Even the New York Times and Washington Post now admits that his early books are full of mistruths and he even admits he may have exaggerated. And he has had known advisors and mentors who were and remain radicals, or communists as admitted by Vann Jones, racists like Rev. Wright and other such. Frankly as a Christian I am very much afraid of this man and his re- election will put us into a complete decline of our great nation. I will honestly say I am not one hundred percent happy with Romney, but then I have never been one hundred percent happy with any candidate."

3. "We had to hear democrats whine for 8 years about Bush. Reap what you sowed."

4. "Did you notice democrats cant really defend Obama on most things? They just smear Romney b/c there is nothing good to say about this guy"

Deflect, deflect, deflect. It's not working, as the polls show, but it just shocks me that we have people THIS STUPID walking the streets............and voting to elect this country's leaders.

..........every time someone says, "Mitt's tax returns," the righties immediately scream, "Obama's college records!!!"

Seems like such a random complaint, yet it happens EVERY TIME. Seems like "walking orders" to me.

to do with anything. Oh, the other one was "all the news media except FOX are biased towards obama. The only reason they like him is because he's the first black president. And he's not even black, really".

Biting my tongue so hard.

In a debate with a birther I tried arguing that the republicans were performing massive election fraud. He responded that there were massive amounts of dead people voting for Democrats. Obviously he could have no evidence but when pressed he said it was a well known fact that thousands of dead Chicagoans voted for (Senator) Obama. How does one even debate such people? Btw, he swears that Eisenhower was a Democrat too, angrily told me I better get my facts straight!
