I'm ready.
Who's in charge?
We stopped Bork.

(51,623 posts)150 protests across the US. I posted it on DU for over a week in the Activist Headquarters forum. I attended the one in San Diego. I was disappointed that very few millenials were there. Indivisible, NARAL and other groups sponsored the events.
*I usually post protests and rallies when I hear of them in that forum. The next one is next Sat and they are all over the US and the world to bring attention to Climate Change. I already posted it and the details too.

Most people dont follow this stuff, we who do are a small minority.

(51,623 posts)Last weekend at the Stop Kavanaugh rally in San Diego only about 300 people showed up and it wasn't even on the local news stations. VERY DISAPPOINTED in my fellow Americans! Of course they will be the first to bitch and complain when the SCOTUS denies them abortions, impeaching the fake prez, gay marriage becoming unlawful, etc.

(1,733 posts)I work in a very large unionized mill in WA with hundreds of workers. My job lets me circulate around and talk to many folks across all departments. Two weeks ago I asked 50 folks if they had ever heard of Brett Kavanaugh.
10 had heard in name in the news, but did not know why. Only 6 knew who he was and why. The rest had no clue or thought he was a pitcher or a running back.
Most love Trump because their hours, OT, and paychecks increased since he was elected.
Thats reality folks.

(24,259 posts)That is the question every American should be asking. Bush admin was okay with releasing these but Trump and this lawyer Burck, who represents clients who are part of the investigation by Mueller, wants to hide this many papers on Kavanaugh?
This is not how innocent people, or lawyers who represent innocent people, act.
The American people want transparency. The American people deserve transparency. Trump and his admin are anything but truly transparent but with a bit of slight of hand and razzle dazzle they have some suckers convinced they're as transparent as Waterford glass when all they really are is covered in the mud and swamp muck Trump, his admin and the new RepubliCON party wallow in while Putin holds the septic fill hose and laughs his evil ass off.

Kavanaugh, not so much.

(24,259 posts)Just so you know... There actually 'is' a beer tax in some states/cities, NYS and NYC are two, and I don't recall any riots over them. Maybe if it were increased a lot there would be though especially with Trump in power driving so many to drink.
