So it goes with a lawless Nazi in the White House.
Not much more that can be said. If this isn't obstruction of justice then what is?
That ball is in Mueller's court. The November election ball is in the court of WE, THE PEOPLE. Given the urgency of this I am going all in: if you are negative about Democrats right here and right now then you want Democrats to lose. The stakes could not be higher. Democrats will never be perfect. Sorry. That will never happen and if you look for reasons for disunity you will find them. And if you find them then you are part of the problem.
But if you look for reasons to unite you will find reasons to unite. In fact you will find many more reasons to unite than you will find reasons to sow discord and discontent. No excuses. No this isn't about "walking and chewing gum at the same time." If you screw that up you don't have Nazis in charge.
This is about our core values and who we are. The reason Republicans tolerate this is that they can count on the 30% of our electorate who are racist.
This is not a joke. This is not a drill. It's time to cut the crap and elect Democrats.
To my sisters in the woman's rights movement, to my brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ movement, and to my brothers and sisters of color fighting valiantly for racial justice; now is the time for us to strike at the heart of darkness in this country and we MUST BE UNITED to do that.
The Democrats are not perfect, we are agreed on this point. All politics are local and as a New Yorker... the Democratic nominee in Kansas may not be your cup of tea, but we cannot let ourselves be divided.
The Democratic party is the weapon we must wield in the voting booth. This is the weapon we bring to the fight. Let's use it and destroy the republican party.
We can re-forge the sword after our victory.

(34,101 posts)I don't see any tweets for 16 hours (and since it's only 10 AM, those were yesterday).
Am I missing something?

Context? Seriously?

(2,275 posts)Nevertheless, I agree with the sentiment as far as seeking a big turnout. But (healthy) debate within the Democratic party is part of its attraction.
One of the reasons I prefer Democrats is that they aren't afraid of facts and debate. If they didn't argue and hem and haw they wouldn't arrive at better solutions.
Republicans don't debate among themselves as much. They just take money from the highest bidder and make that their position.
I'll take debate over bribes any day. In our gusto for debate we are unified.

(9,527 posts)Mostly because your petulant comment is explanation enough. You blatantly posted a title unrelated to the post.
And what is it exactly that you and your compatriots think you're doing?
I made my point. I stated it clearly and succinctly. If you don't like it then by all means state that clearly and succinctly. You don't have to extrapolate or read things into my words.
Or go ahead and play insipid games. When you all do that you just prove my point.

(32,640 posts)Demcorats, for the last 50 years, have been been the party of various coalitions with the same GOALS: universal health care, social justice, expanding the social safety net, and attacking income inequality.
When dissent from a particular politician's manifesto on the ONE AND ONLY STRATEGY to get to those goals is equated with 'corruption' or "not wanting to help the poor or the sick" that's when we get into trouble. We are strongest when we listen to all of our progressive groups, and not when we tell all to shut up and walk in lockstep behind one and only one tactic for change, no matter how symbolic or unlikely to effect actual progress.
That's when our we fails to understand that we are most effective when we keep our focus on the goals that we all agree on, and not the dogma that divides us.

(34,101 posts)As of the time you posted, he had not made any today.
Ms. Toad
(34,101 posts)then why did you?
I agree that there was no need to lie, but the (at a minimum) misleading title was pointed out to you by a number of individuals, you were given a number of opportunities to correct or clarify your (false) title, and chose not to.
