grown ups know how to use a word processor and how to email a letter to the editor.
He kept saying that "Deep Throat 2018" (my definition) had to be able to submit the letter on his own, not to rely on staff support in the White House.
Yes, in the backward days of the 80s, we had a V.P. who "on principle" would not type anything. This was a "secretary work." He would get the secretary to print his email and reply.
You go home, you have your own laptop and you type a letter there. You are not part of a network though it can be hacked, of course.
Or you sit at Starbucks or Panera, use their free W-Fi, type there and email to the NYT. And, since the NYTimers know who you are, you probably emailed it directly to an executive.
Sheesh.

But a lot of emails there. I mentioned here, when the emails of the two FBI agents were exposed, that we were warned by the legal dept. to watch what we were saying on company property. That emails could be subpoenad. Yes, in the 80s.
