All who are attacking the writer are doing what Trump has always calculated. It's

that he will look like the poor defenseless victim. We need to focus on the content of the message. Our country is already in crisis and this is a warning and a assurance that some people have their eyes on the purported demise of the United States of America. Forget about what if it was a democratic president. The crisis is right now. Ignore it and whine about "show your face" and miss an opportunity to right the ship. Otherwise, let it sink with a shit load of rethugs stroking donald on the back. Just my opinion!

Look, if someone goes into a bank to rob it, and someone else steals the bank robber's getaway car, there is no "good guy" there. You have a bank robber and a car thief.

Only simple minded people think that every story has to have a "good guy" and a "bad guy". Sometimes, they're just all bad.

the constitutional implications of the individuals in the administration actually exhibiting clandestine insubordination. There are Constitutional mechanisms for dealing with this situation. They may be painful for the GOP, and that just demonstrates how craven they really are.

...but just because he might use the pushback to advantage himself politically isn't a good reason for not acting to reverse his nonsense.

His ranting and raving shouldn't be allowed to withstand establishing regular order and calling out these anti-democratic, anti-constitutional actors, who are manipulating the presidency, for their treasonous behavior.

at the present time. Keep in mind that the person who wrote the letter is not an elected official, we don't know how many people are involved or what they are doing. Since they support much of what Trump has done, it's hard for me to believe that they are on our side. IMHO, this person is just engaging in a little CYA.

A conservative group in the Executive Branch have taken it as their patriotic duty to manipulate Trump to avoid a crisis which would block the rapid implementation of a radical right wing agenda. It tells conservatives, "don't worry, we've got this. We'll make sure nothing bad happens and you can safely support Trump in the interest of getting a right wing stranglehold on every aspect of government and society." Meanwhile they've isolated and de-clawed Trump.

Because he and his cabal want to make sure the right wing takeover of the courts, and the implementation of an extreme right wing agenda is implemented before the Trumpster is impeached or resigns? Doesn't sound very"minor" to me.

This "minor" bad guy has just confessed to being part of a coup against the President.

Instead of using Constitutionally mandated means to get rid of an unfit President, he and others have taken it upon themselves to do the job of President.

If that isn't abuse of power, I don't know what is!!!!!

"Minor" my ass!!!!

But they DON'T because they are getting the BASICS of everything they want: Right Wing judges, tax cuts, Obambacare gutted, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

So anybody who has anything good to say about this clown who wrote this Op Ed is either stupid or complicit.

Sorry about the rant, but I feel like I'm screaming over the bloody corpse of our Republic.

By working around Trump, by keeping him in the dark, this cabal is preventing Trump from effecting his and the extreme right wing agenda.

Members of the extreme right wing want this person, whoever it is, to be arrested for sedition. They believe he or her is a part of the Deep State or at least a GOPe.
