Since the author of NYT Op-Ed didn't end with "I AM FULLY COOPERATING WITH MUELLER'S INVESTIGATION"
Since the author of the NYT Op-Ed didn't end with "And I am fully cooperating with Mueller's investigation" I'm taking this whole debacle with a grain of salt. I don't think this person is a hero. If he/she were, he wouldn't write on Op-Ed for the NYT, screaming for attention. He would continue to leak damaging information about Trump to the press. Or he would have resigned long ago.
I'm not going to guess who specifically wrote it, but I have some ideas re: who is NOT THE AUTHOR:
Mike Pence: The use of the word "lodestar" may be a red herring to deflect from the actual author. I think Uptighty Whitey is biding his time, waiting for this shit show to end. I don't think he would risk being labeled as a traitor by the TrumpHumpers since he is currently the next in line. There is no disputing that. All he has to do is wait. And I think he is too much of a coward to take this step. And if he did feel the need to write an anonymous Op-Ed, I don't think he would coordinate it with the NYT. This is too risky a move for the heir apparent.
Anyone from the Military or Intelligence Communities: To pen an anonymous letter such as this would go against decades of training. I have no doubt that the FBI and other intelligence agencies have leaked damaging information about Trump, but they disperse the information through indictments or directly to a trusted media source rather than through an Op-Ed. And guess what . . . this is perfectly legal if the FBI feels that such leaks will further an on-going investigation. And who gets to decide if such a leak will help an investigation? The head people at the FBI. So when Shitler says that Comey illegally leaked classified info, it's bullshit. As Director, Comey was the guy who made the calls as to what could and couldn't be made public. So an amateurish Op-Ed doesn't seem like a route the FBI or any other intelligence agency would use.
A disgruntled Democrat still working in the ShitHole Administration: Most have been weeded out and the few who may remain would never have written that he/she agrees with the policies that Twitler is implementing.
General observations on who MAY BE THE AUTHOR: Some young-ish conservative with a career to salvage. Probably around 50 or younger. Rachel Maddow (I think it was her) noted that this person may be trying to have it both ways . . . "I stayed to save the country, so I am a hero. But I didn't cooperate with Mueller because I'm not a traitor." Bullshit. I believe the author knows his/her career is over once Shitler is gone and he/she is desperately trying to come up with a cover story. I believe we will eventually know this person's identity, whether it's next week, next month or next year, so he is scrambling to save his hide.
When his/her identity is revealed, I believe most of us will collectively say "Who?" It's probably some person who has a high-level role but is not a household name, even to those of us who are political junkies.
I am not ruling out the possibility that the author is, in fact, already cooperating with Mueller. I'm not sure what I think about that yet.
I do believe that the FBI has been surveilling the White House since Shitler stole the election. They knew of his mob ties and Putin's unusual influence over him well before the primary was over. Alarm bells were going off on multiple fronts. I believe they have moles inside the WH and they have all kinds of ways to listen in. If Omarosa could tape every meeting she attended, you better believe the FBI has about 100 different ways to track what the Traitor-Mobster is doing and saying.
And I believe the nuclear football that Cheeto thinks is the real deal is a fake. Given all that the intelligence communities know about Trump and have known about him for years, THERE IS NO WAY HE HAS ACCESS TO NUCLEAR WEAPONS. I'm not sure how they pulled this off, but I believe the FBI, some members of Congress (even some republicans), and even the Supreme Court have devised a way to keep the actual nuclear football out of reach of this volatile, vengeful man-child.
THE AUTHOR OF THE OP-ED IS NO HERO! Think for a minute about what Shitler has tweeted and/or said on live television that implicate him in obstruction of justice. Now think about how much the public doesn't know about what he says in private on a daily basis. The author of this dumb Op-Ed has been witness to countless cases of OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE by Trump, and probably many other crimes.
IF HE IS NOT ALREADY COOPERATING WITH MUELLER, THE AUTHOR CONTINUES TO ENABLE A TRAITOR.
