THE CASE FOR KING — The Democratic Party this election cycle started becoming No Place for White Men. Just look at the campaign of Chris King, an Orlando businessman who got less than 3 percent of the vote in last week’s Democratic primary. On the trail, the chemistry between King and Gillum was apparent. They liked each other best. And that counts for a lot. Gillum and Gwen Graham had a strained relationship during the campaign (he blamed her team for spreading word of the FBI probe at City Hall). And he doesn’t know Lauren Book that well. Meanwhile, King and Gillum became such campaign-trail pals that, sources tell us, they had a secret powwow to discuss running on a joint ticket during the primary when both looked as if they were stalled. But neither wanted to be the No. 2. Well, Gillum’s the No. 1 now. And King, after finishing fourth, could live with No. 2 now. King not only shares Gillum’s liberal politics, the Harvard-educated debater is as articulate as he is rare: an evangelical progressive. Considering Gillum underperformed in white-majority Democratic counties (just as he overperformed in counties with big black populations), King might help round out the ticket as his safest choice he feels most comfortable with.

King got the ammosexuals all riled up for his proposed bullet tax to pay for school safety measures. While the Lt. Gov. position is pretty much ceremonial let's see how Queen Marian Hammer responds.

We have a progressive ticket, now can we get a turnout?

I'm ready!
