I don't think anybody is going to cop to it. They were very careful to cover their tracks and the NYT won't tell.

so he can be turned over to the government for prosecution. There are no national security issues involved, and no way in hell will NYT disclose the name. Journalists have gone to jail to protect their sources.

report the president's incapacity, and are secretly running the Executive Branch on their own, that is a criminal act and most definitely places the country in the gravest danger. I don't think you appreciate the enormous implications for national security.

My point was that journalists don't disclose sources. I do agree that the writer should have come forward and revealed publicly that Trump is nuts rather than hide behind an anonymous op-ed. On the other hand, the fact that Trump is nuts isn't really a secret.

says he is protecting the country from an insane president, but has taken no steps to have him removed from office. I don't know whether I'm more scared of Trump or the "patriots" who are running the government behind his back. So what are they going to do if a military crisis arises? National security is at risk here.

They just admitted what was already as clear as gin based on the books by Wolff, Omarosa and Woodward, from other leaks, and from just watching the way Trump behaves. The fact that he's as mad as a box of frogs and that WH staff and others are trying to run the government, or at least trying to keep Trump from completely jumping the rails, has been obvious from the beginning and is hardly a state secret. The problem isn't that someone came right out and admitted it, it's that so far nobody is doing anything about it.

Good one! I like the way she handled it. It is not a Democatic problem so why should she get too serious about it?
