Maybe he's tired of watching over old dad. He has unloaded the 666 tower and doesn't want to babysit any more.

(7,220 posts)Here's the thing: If "dozens" of people are subverting Rump's worst instincts and purportedly saving the world from imminent danger...WHY would any of those people write an op ed in Rump's most-hated publication, when the obvious result once that cat's out of the bag, is that these "patriots" as they portray themselves, suddenly will be scrutinized even more...their job of containing this impulsive toddler with his finger on the nuclear button will be SO much harder after writing a letter about their brave and valiant efforts.
Now, young Kush-man has no doubt that he and his grifting family-in-law are going down, sooner or later, because of Mueller's investigation. Rump's own damn attorney has flipped, and many more of his inner circle are cooperating. If Trump pardons his kids, the shit will hit the fan even more than already is happening. What's a crooked grifter to do?
By this point ol JarJar can practically feel the itchy fabric of his prison jumpsuit, and his entitled wifey is freaking out that she looks terrible in orange. The only thing that can save them all is to publish an anonymous op-ed in the "Failing" NYT and watch old Dad melt down publicly. (plus he gets even with all those assholes in the WH who called him illegitimate and shit.) Once the tipping point happens, even his own party will turn against Rump (finally), and Pence will be installed as POTUS, under the 25th amendment due Rump's mental illness. But right before he goes, Daddy does the thing everyone expected all along: pardons his kids. Now Pence is Potus, and pulls a Ford "let it go" moment, and they all get off scot-free.
Because, who's going to prosecute an ex-president who's just been proven to be mentally unfit (be it dementia or just plain old cray-cray)? Probably no one.
It's their only chance. I'd even bet the little fucker threw in Pence's fave vocab words just to throw people off his trail.
Thoughts?
