I assume those would be legal?
But, if they were in communication with each other, would they not have known that Manafort was going to make a plea deal with Mueller?
With the promise of a future pardon, no later than two years from now, would Manafort be willing to lie for Donald Trump? Or would Mueller have enough evidence to know whether or not Manafort was lying to him?
I don't see how Trump escapes this??

(1,474 posts)Mueller is kind of a legal ninja. Lying to him while waiting years for a pardon that may never come or be useless if it does due to state charges. I do not believe Manafort would be stupid or brave enough for such a ruse. I sure as hell wouldn't be.
The drip drip drip is now the dam bursting. I do not see how trump escapes this either.

(15,751 posts)it is understood that in a joint defense agreement they agree, to help one another, until someone decides not to agree - then that someone formally notifies the other parties, that they no longer agree. Apparently happens frequently.
