When trump's legal issues came to a point he decided to seek lawyers.... many prominent lawyers were approached and universally they all turned him down.
Almost every high powered attorney in Washington didn't think representing him would be prudent. Some even stated that trump as a client is a nightmare scenario.
Rudy volunteered to be his lawyer, despite his apperent lack of experience.

Many of the firms that were approached had women partners who didn't approve of Trump's behavior. Had Trump become a client, there would have been a powerful revolt.
