when the President went to him and asked him who he could nominate that the Republicans in the Senate would vote for. (I think. Trying to find the article that mentions this.)

Mitch lied his fucking ass off, of course. (This part is true, though.)

On edit: After further research, I cannot find the original article about this. I was wrong. Apologies to all.

aka Benedict McConnell is the biggest f**king traitor this country has seen since the civil war.

I want him to die in excruciating, agonizing, drawn out pain.

asshole McConnell. Another possibility is sue his ass in court for failure to uphold his duty "to uphold ... the Constitution." It is and was his duty to fill the SCOTUS vacancy with deliberate speed.

was withdrawn Garland early on, then nominated somebody similar and told them, "This nominee is sent to the Senate for advise and consent. If the Senate does not complete the process of advising and consenting within 60 days, they will have waived their right and the nominee will be considered confirmed for the open seat."

and, the idea I posted was not mine. There were a few articles in late spring/early Summer 2016 that said that Obama should have put some sort of time limit on Garland to get a hearing.

Plenty of SCOTUS judges have been rejected before, but never had one not gotten so much as a hearing like Garland.
