2. I think a lot of the confusion is based on the wording

Just say, "reopen the background check and interview those involved in the attempted rape incident. Then issue a revised report." Sadly, even Joe and Mika were acting confused about what an "investigation" would uncover. I thought they were smarter than that.

So Dr. Ford's team and democrats should simplify the language being used so everyone will understand. Otherwise, repubs are able to mock the question and slither out of demanding that the white house reopen the file.

3. The Problen is that Lying to the FBI is a Crime

Kavanaugh has repeatedly lied under oath and apparently, had a propensity to do so. However, if he were to lie to the FBI, he would encounter more than the old boy nod, nod-wink, wink he’s received so far.

4. I think Chris Wray should just order this inquiry regarding the new allegations..

and not call it "re-opening" the background check to avoid WH approval. Just call it a follow-up inquiry and force Trump to either allow it or fire him.

A hearing before the Senate Committee as proposed for Monday places the questioning and outcome solely in the hands of partisan politicians with special interests. BK has had an FBI evaluation, as pundits state, but they often omit that it was conducted before Dr. Ford's allegations.
