Grassley Chief Counsel, Set to Question Prof. Ford in Kavanaugh Hearing, Admits Fix is in to Confirm

Adam Jentleson🎈@AJentleson 11m11 minutes ago
Last night's statement by Grassley's Chief Counsel that he's "determined" to "confirm judge Kavanaugh" is also notable in light of Grassley setting Friday as the deadline for Ford to respond.

Gee, I wonder why she might suspect this process is a sham.

...after all, there was the cw that this thing was going to proceed without delay.

There's a great deal yet to advantage opposition to this vote while it's floating on this cloud of scandal. It's not as if there was ever some sincere republican vote against him. We've come a long way since the closing of that hearing.

I think what we might be looking for is a withdrawal by Kavanaugh. If we can get enough negative and incriminating info out there about this scandal, it can sour the candidate's appetite for the position, especially if he comes to believe that advancement is certain to be met by an effort to impeach him, or that the process is going to lead to more embarrassing exposures.

one of the many great DUers I put any stock in on DU...you stay on message, your OPs are sourced - and optimistic....what I find helpful is reading down on the comments at the tweets in the OPs....I just click on the "blue bird" -

We are not alone...there are many, many voices being heard..and much more will be coming out - stay the course (but you don't need me to say that, you have a very strong constitution) -

Emotions are running very high...and I suspect there are people working this issue at a very high level...HOPE is a powerful emotion...
