Johnston: Rumors about this and other unsavory aspects of Kavanaugh have been around for decades.

David Cay Johnston tweeted this less than an hour ago, responding to someone who was replying to another tweet of his:

Exactly. Background checks are too pro forms, but rumors about this and other unsavory aspects of Kavanaugh have been around for decades.

He's being asked on Twitter for details about this, hasn't responded to those tweets yet.

since he wrote a book about him and seemed to have a lot of good info.
Wiki:
"The Making of Donald Trump is a 2016 biography of the American businessman, property developer and politician Donald Trump by the American investigative journalist David Cay Johnston. It was published by Melville House Publishing."

The Making of Donald Trump
Author
David Cay Johnston
Subject,Donald Trump
Publishing August 2, 2016

Johnston first met Trump as a reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer in June 1988 and likened him to P. T. Barnum. He subsequently reported on Trump for almost 30 years, and wrote the book in 27 days.[1] In an interview with The New York Times Johnston said that Trump had "...seriously damaged his brand" with his presidential campaign and would "follow him for the rest of his life". Johnston also felt that Trump was "masterful at understanding the conventions of journalism" and "remarkably agile at doing as he chooses and getting away with it".[1]

The book entered the New York Times hardcover nonfiction list in fifteenth position[1] and spent four weeks there.[2]

was a red flag for anybody paying attention. Seriously, pukes, who does that?....except somebody trying to overcome a known liability. The infamous letter of support was the same thing. We all knew it was hinke when it was released a day after Ford's story broke--they knew this issue was an issue, and they were trying to head it off.

And then they tried to speed up confirmation. In legal circles I think they call that "consciousness of guilt." F@ck them all.
