Think back to Casey Anthony and Susan Smith. Why does this video look so familiar?

(10,885 posts)Something isn't ringing true with the video. She's trying to squeeze out tears, but they aren't coming. There just seems to be too much of a sympathy grab going on, and the comparison to Susan Smith is astounding. Body language experts often cite eye movement as a major factor in determining honesty or deceit. IMO, her eyes are very evasive.
I wouldn't convict her based on just this video, but it sure does give me chills.

To me, if I were genuinely freaked out about my kid being missing, I sure as hell wouldn't need to read from notes to say what I'm feeling.
The moment I caught sight of her on TV, it just struck me as a near certitude that the poor little boy is already dead, and the mother did it - with the dad helping with the coverup.
I know it's a terrible thing to say, but I'd lay odds on it.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong, and the boy is found alive. Or if he's found dead, it's in such a way that clearly does not implicate the parents.
Either way, I hope this gets resolved soon.

Somehow, the dad could not catch a 6 year old who takes off?
