a slim chance that the Republicans would be decent. She should just sit there mute and, if asked, she should say "I'm waiting for the Senators to do what the Constitution tells them to do for the good of this country". Then let them drag her out of the hearing room.

Dr. Ford puts the biggest hurt on Kavanaugh if she tells her story as calmly and persuasively as possible.

She should definitely make a point of the Rethugs turning over questioning to an Aunt Lydia - I would even recommend referring to her as Aunt Lydia. However, she needs to tell the story. She needs to say she passed a polygraph. She needs to say she welcomes talking the the FBI. Most importantly, she needs to say that Kavanaugh attempted to rape her - in gory detail.

This will all come down to whether Dr. Ford will be perceived as persuasive. If she is persuasive, either Kavanaugh will go down of the Rethugs will pay a terrible price in November and again in 2020 and still face the issue of a possible impeachment for "Justice" Kavanaugh.

This is mostly an attempt to provide cover for the old white guys Rethugs on the Judiciary Committee. I think there is also some attempt to frighten or rattle Dr. Ford. She needs to sit there and tell the truth - clearly and calmly.
