The bright side of the Kavanaugh nomination fight

The Republican Party is publicly exposing itself as Party over People.

It has become popular for Republicans to support Trump's policies while distancing themselves from Trump.

But Trump's policies are EXACTLY the same as the mainstream Republican policies.

Tax cut for the rich. Check.

Massive military spending. Check.

Voting suppression. Check.

Bullying women. Check.

Bigotry. Check

All down the line, the Trump Administration is no different than the Atwater (Reagan, Bush1) Administration, or the Rove (Bush 2) Administration.

The GOP are pretending the Party of Trump is different, an aberration, not related to Mainstream Republican ideals.

But with the Kavanaugh fight, the light is shining and the cockroaches are caught flat footed in it's illumination. Every single one of them.

the Party set itself on an unsustainable course when they abandoned truth altogether and became the Party of Fear and Falsehood in the service of the wealthy and powerful. Trump or someone like him was the inevitable result, as was the nomination of someone like Kavanaugh to the supreme Court. Now the GOP will collapse under the weight of their own absurdity.
