(52,227 posts)what an obviously, pathetically immature response.
the dominant narrative is about his lies, so this sort of thing registers as a lie, or get dismissed as just another lie.
but it's not just any lie. it's the kind of obvious lie that a 6-year old says because they can't handle even minor embarrassment.
so he lies about the intent of everyone who laughed, pretending that they were laughing at a joke he made, rather than laughing at him or at something he said in all seriousness.
he can't cope with the fact-based reality that he got laughed at for making a wild boast completely unsupported by evidence, so he reshapes his reality to be built around his lies.
pathetic!
he is so emotionally defective, so horrible unsuited for the role of president!

He knows he was being laughed at. Perhaps that should be the way people react to Trump. No matter what he says, we should laugh in his face.
It's not disrespectful because Trump crossed that line long ago when he chose to lie to the American people.

(52,227 posts)no one in the white house would dare laugh at something like that.
he only speaks to rallies where they bus supporters in and replace them if they're even not smiling enough.
and the media knows that anything reaction like that risks getting kicked out of the white house briefing room.
so an honest reaction is just something he's not used to.
he had to resolve his cognitive dissonance by rejecting truth and honesty and concocting a lie that suits him better, even if he knows damn well it's a lie.
He knows in his bones they were laughing at him. It will haunt him bigly. Yay. It's the best way to piss him off. What an amazing piece of history we are going through.

(1 post)He is a narcissist and does not believe that people would ever laugh at his bragging. He truly believes that he is right and deserves to be applauded for his "accomplishments". He is also a con artist. That's why he is always projecting this onto the democratic party.

He has failed at every business venture he has been in other than the TV show, which was a success because he is such a narcissist liar.
The only reason he is not homeless is the now reported FOUR BILLION he owes Putin and friends.

He's always known that the myth of Trump is fragile, but that just by pretending as hard as he can, he'll have the TV cameras on his side.
