Imagine someone going through life thinking there would be no consequences for his own actions...

And that would give you an idea what it’s like to be Brett Kavanaugh.

Which explains pretty much why both he and Trump have turned out to be each other’s spirit animal.

He’s not fooling anyone who doesn’t want to be fooled though.

Federal judge and all the FBI checks didn’t uncover his past or do they and the leaders that read the reports don’t care?

The scandals?
I wonder exactly when the clearances for this prick took place. It goes into a background check of probably ten years, I think.

The whole vibe I get from Kreepazoid is "How dare you question me or my actions?" The other giveaway is that he's really (REALLY) bad at excusing his behavior. He's never had to do it before. Only today has his cadre figured out the "nobody's perfect" defense/excuse. Up until this time, his whole defense has revolved around his own privilege and presumed infallibility because of his high societal standing.

Top to bottom, not just the politicians. It includes their cult followers, as well.

John Edwards and Bill Clinton probably never expected their affairs to blow up in their faces for example. Or all those studies that found kids have a hard time not taking the instant dessert rather than waiting 15 and getting double.

People suck at thinking long term whether the consequences are small or large, legal or civil or personal. At the moment I'm dealing with a shoulder issue if I spent 5 minutes a day dealing with 5 months ago would be resolved.

It seems like that would be the entire administration.

Oh, and add a few women into that. I mean the ones who are shaming other women.
