the Ohio River. I'm still an Ohio Buckeye "A Worthless Nut" by heart. I moved to Wheeling about 20 years ago.

I find the majority of the people in the tri-state not just in WV to be close minded two faced racist assholes. This area is like the least
diverse area race wise in the US yet their biggest concern is a wall around Mexico. You would think there were Mexicans swimming across the Ohio River to get into WV.

8. I will not ever claim to be from WV...

but I live here now. I have lived here 6 years. I cannot understand how people actively vote against their own interests constantly. Then again, I have found so many WVians to be: extraordinarily insular, only friendly to your face. They do not like outsiders at all. They want what's owed them, and to some extent, who the hell could blame them. However, they're sure as hell not getting that from Republicans.
My closest friends are all from out of state. I do have a few friends from here, but they're actually more acquaintances.
I imagine I'm offending some people. I've simply never felt welcome here and cannot wait to move (hopefully to another country).
