and a couple of us think that whoever wrote the letter is personally acquainted with Gardner, or has some political power in Colorado. I'm guessing there was a personal letter plus an anonymous one that could be shared.

To your point, a simple anonymous letter would probably have been ignored, so I think there's more behind the scenes than that.

be complicit in setting up such a report, just to make it seem like he is doing the "right" thing, all the while he will undoubtedly vote for Kav.

That said, there is a lot of anger about how the Boulder woman (Ronan Farrow/Mayer article) has been dismissed out of hand out here. Thus, Gardner would be a fool not to pass along any reports.

There are a lot of bad desperate people, some of whom will try to go along for the ride for fame and to try and get money. It is unfortunate but it is the world we live in.

Doesn't change the overall picture, they don't all have to be true to make Kavanaugh unworthy of the supreme court. Even if only one is true, or can reasonably be believed to be true, he is unworthy.
