Being campaign season it could take past election day. Anything can happen. A delay is good for us. We might take the Senate and then all nominations are off. We get a 4-4 SCOTUS.

Grant especially, she's only 40 and extremely right wing. She'd probably be on the court for the rest of my life. Glad she isn't getting much discussion

may be thinking twice about accepting a nomination if they have any skeletons in their closets at all after this. If they're friends of Trump, then I guarantee you they have skeletons because that jerk has exactly zero who aren't criminals or pervs.

This is a side benefit from those who have pushed for calling Senators, protesting, calling or emailing media outlets, etc., throughout this mess -- it tells those in waiting that they, too, will be scrutinized.

Interestingly, this was spoken by Lincoln as the treasonous Confederates tried to enlist GB on their side during the civil war. Past can be prologue.
