WAPO: Kav clearly too partisan and biased and emotional to be scotus: Even if innocent

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/opinions/wp/2018/09/27/the-most-telling-moment-kavanaugh-goes-after-sen-klobuchar/?utm_term=.09970b5f794c

The worst moment was his confrontation with Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) who questioned him about blackout drinking. She explained that she understood alcohol abuse because her father was an alcoholic. Have you ever blacked out? she asked. He sneered in response, “Have you?” It was a moment of singular cruelty and disrespect. One saw a flash in the exchange with Klobuchar the same sense of entitlement, cruelty and lack of simple decency that Christine Blasey Ford allegedly experienced way back when, the memory seared in her brain of two obnoxious teens laughing at her ordeal.

Kavanaugh says he was not the attacker. But even if you believe that — despite Ford’s riveting testimony — one can reasonably conclude he is not the right person to sit on the court. His anger toward liberals is palpable, his lack of humility bracing. He has the partisan mindset that opponents are unworthy of respect and kindness.

One has had the sense, since his testimony skated past the truth on his involvement with Charles Pickering and on his awareness that documents he received were purloined, that his heart is that of a conservative partisan, one who tried so very hard to make himself into Supreme Court material. The mentality of a political operative — willing to go on Fox News, ready to inflame passions, disrespectful toward opponents — is still there. A nonpartisan would ask for, if not demand, an FBI investigation and Judge’s appearance. Kavanaugh wants to avoid both at all costs.

I believe Dr. Ford. But even if one does not, one can easily and firmly reach the conclusion Kavanaugh is far too partisan and angry to be on the Supreme Court.

But this is the mentality of the thug i n the WH and those old men in the Senate.

They pushed it to the limit, Jeff Flake just brought it crashing down on them.i If they confirm this man after his outburst they are dead meat with women, who usually vote more than men.

It was a disgusting display from a man (and I use that word in the most liberal of interpretations concerning Kavanaugh) who seeks to sit on the highest court in our land for the balance of his life. Disgusting, the entire lot of Republicans were disgusting, with Kavanaugh the most disgusting of all.

He is temperamentally and morally UNFIT to be seated on the Supreme Court. He behavior in that hearing was that of an out-of-control spoiled adolescent.

He appears not to have evolved at all from the boy who wrote those revealing things in his yearbook and stands credibly accused of sexual assault.

Looks like he's gonna melt in that photo.

I'm naive; I always thought Supreme Court Justices were supposed to be adults. He looked like a mini-trump performing at a rally -- in other words, a brat.

When he started in on the liberal conspiracy my thought was "every democrat who is a party or lawyer on a case before any court he sits on should move he not hear the case as he has shown he is biased".

His testimony and statement were devastating. He destroyed himself. I hope some republicans have the nerve to stand up to this ass.

Supreme Court. There is no way to know with 100% certainty what happened to Dr. Ford, although I believe her. There is just no way to prove it.

So take that out of the equation.

What we saw today was the deal breaker for Kavanaugh. He threw a hissy fit, he raged, he was sarcastic to the people there trying to ask questions to get to the truth. He cried, sniffed and moved his tongue around in his mouth like it was a foreign object. His face grew red at times, he grimaced, gritted his teeth and pounded the table with his pen. In short, he showed he does not have the temperament to be a justice on the SC.

The issue of whether he assaulted Dr. Ford is important. It brought the issue of sexual assault to the attention of all who care about this one way or the other. But just as important, it elicited the behavior that perfectly demonstrated exactly why Kavanaugh should not be approved as a Judge on the Supreme Court.
