Consistency problem: Kavanaugh endorsed polygraphs in a 2016 DC Circuit opinion. Today when asked if he would take one about the assault on Dr. Ford, he labeled them unreliable. What changed?

Kavanaugh's stated position has been that polygraph tests are a reliable tool for determining truthfulness or deception.
When questioned about it today, he did a complete 180 and stated that lie detector tests are not acceptable in court due to their unreliability.
