but will probably be flamed for doing so. I will restate, however uselessly it may be, I do not want to see Kavanaugh confirmed. I am merely pointing out reality.

The Democrats are asking for an FBI investigation, at least in part, because it will delay the confirmation vote. They said so clearly. Durbin spelled it out, "Suspend this confirmation process and have the FBI..."

It would not be difficult for the investigation, and the Senate's consideration of that investigation, to delay the committee and floor votes until after the midterm elections. Democrats are certainly working to this end, because after the midterm the confirmation might have a much better chance of failing.

Kavanaugh knows this. Whatever else he is, he is not stupid. He very reasonably does not want to delay, and quite possibly derail by political gamesmanship, his confirmation to the Supreme Court. It has nothing whatever to do with any sense of guilt.

Now go ahead and call me whatever nasty names you feel the need to call me.

To delay the confirmation is true but perhaps a very small part. After experiencing Dr. Ford’s testimony yesterday, I believe many people including the democratic members of the committee want to investigate the matter for this woman’s sake. She came to say to the public that this man attempted to rape her so why not find out if there is any truth to her accusation for the sake of truth and justice for her or the one who is accused? When did we stop investigating people who have been accused of attempted rape?

A serious investigation into his past. From his actions at this hearing, there more than likely is plenty he doesn't want to get out. Cannot even Imagine this unhinged piece of shit in any courtroom.
