(10,721 posts)3. There's no excuse for anyone to vote "yes." This is beyond politics. This is about right and wrong.
This is about the message we send to sexual assault survivors and sexual assault perpetrators.
That Murkowski, Collins, Flake and Manchin feel the need to meet to make sure they are all going to vote the same way is an embarrassment; it demonstrates just how rotten our political system has become. Vote "no" because it's the right goddamn thing to do, regardless of what your colleagues are going to do.
