(34,074 posts)just not (directly) not over having a license to practice law. Arizona Summit Law School ring any bells?
(Indirectly it can also impact obtaining a law license, because many states do not permit students from unaccredited slaw schools to sit for the bar exam.)

(34,074 posts)And since being a licensed attorney (or have ever even attended law school) is not a requirement to sit on the Supreme Court - even if a bar complaint was filed in a state in which he is licensed, he could still be confirmed and take a seat on the Supreme Court.

(115,719 posts)Law licenses are controlled by the state agency that issues the license, and each agency has a specific process for reviewing lawyer misconduct.

(13,524 posts)ABA is a damned prestigious organization, seems to me, and for them to hold what I guess was an emergency meeting tonight to take their vote and make their statement, well - it means SOMETHING, I think!!!

pull Clinton's. Yes he can serve on the court without a license, but he would
lose his credibility completely.
