On Blue Dogs and Kavanaugh

OK, let me state the usual opposition

"but we need Blue Dogs"

"there vote would make no difference anyway"

OK, I can admit that 90 percent of the time, the worst democrat is better than the best GOP. However...if it gets to the point where they do not offer token resistance on things that WILL affect the country for 20 years or more, than we have to say there is an exception.

If the Blue Dogs do not at least offer a no vote, or worse, support the GOP, then they are NOT worth keeping, because this is nothing less than a takeover of one branch of govt. The fact that RBG is sick should add emphasis, as you know the GOP is ready to replace her with someone that, thanks to Blue Dogs rolling over, will NOT EVEN PRETEND not to be the extremist.

Manchin, Heitkamp, et al, if you do not vote no, you are not worth keeping. You aid the gop by poitning out that they can not expect resistance.

and do not give me the "the vote makes no difference", even a no means that the GOP did not get their way.

but how often do we have to be slapped in the face and know that in key votes, their vote is as good as the GOP? Not even token resistance?

have warped the party to where it no longer protect those that is charged too, that matters TOO. Some do not understand that a roof that has poled punched in it from the inside will make us wet and sick.

to bang your head when many feel the same way because the Blue Dogs will not lift a finger to help us in times that decide who dominates.

6. As long as they don't cast the deciding vote, let them do what they need to do

It's just a dog and pony show when you're talking about margin of victory. Either he sits on the bench or he doesn't. If Manchin or whoever casts the deciding vote in favor of Kav, though- he should get no support from us.

7. IMO (which isn't worth anything at all) if you're not there to vote for the really important things

it doesn't matter whether you're there for the rank and file stuff....even if Dems lose the ability to control the agenda in the chamber. Blue dogs are the reason we have no more public hospitals, no more unions, bullsh*t retirement (non) packages...the reason our small businesses are saddled with providing health care putting them at insurmountable disadvantage competitively, why we currently have coal ash poisoning the water everywhere you look. Yup...love me some blue dogs.

9. For me the question is who represents Democrats in those states who oppose Trump, Kav, etc?

Who can they vote for if both the Democrat and the Republican agree on something like this? Do they even bother to vote?

11. Maybe when we have 61 votes in the Senate. Then we can get rid of a Blue Dog.

Pretty much the end of the democracy if he gets confirmed and we don't win the house and senate. There will be no way to get the fake prez, oust him etc. and even then he will have carte blanche to do whatever- Rosenstein fired, Mueller investigation stopped, pardons etc. They had better not vote yes. It would be a disgrace anyway to vote yes for him. I guess they can both be impeached if dems win.
