If McConnell has the votes without Flake, there will be no investigation.
The fucking '2 hour rule' was an end-run and we just stood there stuttering.

(12,631 posts)delay to occur BEFORE reporting out of committee. Grassley pulled a fast one with the immediate vote. Members thought they were voting to delay, and the vote was, instead, to report out of committee. Flake then said he would vote no on the floor, without the one week delay. Thats my take on what I saw; I could be wrong.

(624 posts)McConnell will not agree to delay. Trump will not ask for an FBI investigation and all of these repukes including Flake and Collins will vote for this creepy jerk. Probably Murkowski too.

(8,923 posts)doesn't have the votes now. If McConnell doesn't have the votes then neither does Trump. Then they may both have to agree to allow the FBI investigation to get Trump's nominess through.
