The two wonderful ladies were able to catch the door at the right time. Notice the one was partially in the door frame which stops the door from closing.

The Cmte vote today really was just Kabuki theater. If the Cmte had vote "no", Mitch would have ignored it and put the nomination before the full Senate anyway. So, this way, Jeff can deliver his surprise to the full Senate. He will lead the change against the nomination.

But, of course, that would require courage. So, he will just go along with Mitch and vote "yes".
