When you listen to Maria Gallagher in the elevator, at first, Flake wanted to escape. But Maria

said, "Look at me!" and then he softened. And he started to look at her, and listen, and you could see him change from self defence to resignation: That he couldn't ignore her.

It almost didn't happen.

That it didn’t change his decision but he’s a liar so I don’t know what to think.

The confrontation with Senator Flake in the doorway of that elevator was, in its own way, a Rosa Parks moment for America.
Two strong willed, determined women demanded to be heard and would not back down. They stood for justice and spoke truth to power.
And, Senator Flake finally heard.
If truth and justice are served here then it is evident the Kavanaugh nomination will be finished.
These few minutes may very well change the course of history.

To determine how important a potential action might be, ask yourself, "Fifty years from now, will it make a difference?"

Had these two women asked themselves that question, it would have been oh hell yes.

This could very well be a major moment in history.

Maybe I’m too cynical but I think he would not have changed anything if not for the glare of cameras.

I'm pretty certain he's received some nasty feedback from deplorables over his speeches vilifying TrumPutin. Those speeches are in the Senate record. He's hard-nosed and (IMO) his fiscal conservatism is dead wrong, but he appears to be human.

I turned on MSNBC but they didn't so I went back to CNN. I couldn't understand why Flake was being so nice and letting them speak but it turned out the door took forever to close. I started crying at that point.

We'll see if he maintains that semblance in another week or so.
