Teach...your children well. Conversations with a son

It’s also much more than this. A single conversation won’t do. It needs to be an example led by parents, grandparents, uncles, friends.

And for our daughters, teach them to understand early warning signs of verbal, physical, emotional and mental abuse. Not getting started into a relationship with someone who exhibits those signs. Learning means of self defense. Not being afraid to speak up and seek help. And society as a whole needs to step up in that regard, too, and not dismiss claims and allegations no matter when they are brought to light.

It’s time for all of society to engage, to empathize, to no longer demean and belittle.

I sincerely hope this moment in time becomes that moment when history can look back and say, “this is when we really began to fix the world”

He taught me to place a woman on high and to never do here wrong.

My mother reinforced that.

They did it in conversations and their example
